PIC Hosted North & Southeast Ontario – Innovation Information Forum Webinar

“Staying connected with organizations across the region through regular and informative events.”

In partnership with Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises (OSME) and Quinte Economic Development Commission, the Productivity & Innovation Centre (PIC) hosted the North & Southeast Ontario – Innovation Information Forum Webinar on Thursday August 21st, 2014.

The Innovation Forum panel discussion highlighted innovation and commercialization programs, including the Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP) and Concierge Services. Created to bolster innovation, the BCIP helps companies bridge the pre-commercialization gap by procuring and testing late stage innovative goods and services within the federal government before taking them to market.

Information on BCIP can be found here: https://buyandsell.gc.ca/initiatives-and-programs/build-in-canada-innovation-program-bcip

Call for Proposals is currently open; deadline is Sept 16, 2014. https://buyandsell.gc.ca/procurement-data/tender-notice/PW-14-00641704

This was the PIC’s first Innovation Information Forum Webinar event and drew a great turnout with over 40 attendees representing academia, SMEs, start-ups and government.
